Chakra is Sanskrit for spinning or wheel and refers to a golf size, non-anatomical energy center that starts at the base of the spine and goes to the top of the head, with one more below the feet and one 2 feet above the head called the over soul for a total of 9 Chakras. Each Chakra relates to a specific color and emotional state. If one or more are blocked, then life energy will not flow and we develop physical problems in that area.
The importance and study of the Chakras is relevant when we are trying to figure out what is wrong with our body and mind when illness and disease sets in and won’t go away. Pain is a wake-up call and if we do not keep open communication with our spirit, then it’s possible that the body will react negatively because of a blocked energy. For a Chakra to be considered blocked, the body must have a serious, chronic or recurring issue, lasting anywhere from a month to many years. The knowledge and study of Chakras has been around for thousands of years and is well known in Eastern Cultures and is now being acknowledged in parts of the Western World.
